Only about 2 months, but I've beat normal mode on MoF, Undefined Fantastic Object, and PCB. Lunatic Suika, Patchouli, and Sanae in SWR/Hisoutensokou

Plus, 3gigs of Pictures/porn/music of Touhou characters.

When I started coming to /jp/. Because I have nothing better to do. Started with PCB. My favorite character is Marisa. Regarding fan interpretations, I am fond of Alice, but I don't care much for those things.

Only about 2 months, but I've beat normal mode on MoF, Undefined Fantastic Object, and PCB. Lunatic Suika, Patchouli, and Sanae in SWR/Hisoutensokou. As much as I regret it, I saw Theres No Sake in this Canyon on /f/, and looked in to what anime it was. I picked up the game because it's a fucking anime game with lolis, who the fuck doesn't want that.

Suika Ibuki is my favorite, with Momiji being close second.

Plus, 3gigs of Pictures/porn/music of Touhou characters.

Because of the Cirno spam in old pre-/jp/ /a/ got me into learning the characters, played IN because it was said to be the best for beginners, spawned into playing the rest of the Touhou games, both shooters and fighters. I have too many favorites, but I think Yuyuko still stands out out of all of them

Ironically, it was the exact same with the desu~ spam of /b/ that got me into Rozen Maiden and in love with the it's glutton Hinaichigo.

Eh, I've known about it for some time, but I really just began exposing myself more and more to it because I like the whole Touhou concept. This whole interesting universe and great series of games inspiring a whole fandom.

Saw bunch of videos involving touhou on youtube. Did some research bout it and found the games. Played it, loved it, suck at it though. Find a whole bunch of touhou related stuff created, found it pretty interesting.

No real favorite characters, just like characters more on and off depending on information a read. If i had to choose, i guess i'd choose Aya

Seriously though, as faggy as it sounds, I believe McRoll is better for introducing you to the games themselves, rather than IOSYS or other fan-made videos, it even flat out says it's from a game in the description. But maybe it was just me being a sucker for 2D shooters, so I don't count.

I'd seen Marisa Stole the Precious Thing, Ran Ran Ru, Alice threads, and some other stuff before I got the games, but I actually got into them because they looked like fun shooters and had good music.

The story of how I got into Touhou is a treasure trove of ADHD symptoms.

Waaaaaaay back when I was a little /b/ dweller over four years ago, I wandered onto the then-not-awful /v/ and encountered a screenshot of Imperishable Night, deciding that it was awesome. Months later, I remembered that it was awesome and journeyed back to /v/ to find out the name of the game, describing the screenshot obtusely and, shortly after someone told me the title, I was distracted by something for what must have been a year.

At this point I encountered a friend's older brother who is pretty into STGs and was playing Imperishable Night on his computer. Upon my inquiry he explained that this was Touhou and that he just torrented all of them (which, at the time, was not a whole lot). I played a round, had no idea what was going on, and thought Wriggle Nightbug was funny. When I got home I downloaded them all, but I got a bad version of EoSD and decided I'd just play IN and PCB for a while. So I dabbled, not really learning a whole lot, but every once in a while I'd play PCB and wonder.

A while AFTER THAT, another friend of mine started sending me Iosys videos, and I told him I was familiar with the games they were from. Then we laughed about Marisa Stole the Precious Thing remixes.

Then college happened, and I played more PCB, mostly while listening to Dragonforce. Then one day a girl I was really good friends with rejected me, and I found myself alone and pretty badly depressed. One of the things I couldn't stand about the girl was that she was a casual gamer, so I began to really concentrate on the video games I enjoyed out of spite...and, well, Touhou was one of them. It's been well over a year since then, and I've long since stabilized myself, but Touhou remains as an excellent STG series and an excellent source of hentai.

My favorite character is probably Parsee.
