To be honest, as a European, I've only had a few classes' worth of rest of world history.
I don't know what the fuck happened in China before Chiang Kai Chek, I have no idea about the middle east developed and I don't think a single class mentioned India beyond colonial matters. As for the US, all we know is a few highlights like the colonization, declaration of independence, the civil war, etc.

I had an advanced class in high school covering European history from about some pre-Greecian era to approximately the end of Napoleon Bonaparte. In college, I took a course that covered Mesopotamian civilization from the time of the Dravidians and then transitioning through to the start of Greece.

Colonies were handled along with the countries.
