Out of subject, but I like how he tries to keep Gensokyo with some obscure themes. Not everything is color pink in it, which is why I dislike a lot of artists trying to make it look anime-like in which nothing bad actually ever happens.

I'd say ZUN comes up with good original character designs, and most doujin artists refine them. I understand that he gets a lot of the credit as their original creator, but I personally think most (counting only those who can draw worth their salt) doujin artists are better.
