Going for a 2star run right now, and this shit is getting fucking ridiculous. How the fuck are you supposed to take down 2000troop units when your commanders are barely hitting 500 troops?

How exactly are you supposed to make it through 5star playthroughs? Wouldn't getting the Tenshi Sects event that makes you lose troops screw up most of your progress?

You're supposed to be effective. Troop counts aren't that important. Here's my roster at the end of a 2 star Ran route.

Fight more. You should have your important captains in combat every single turn to keep their troop size increasing (and to ensure forward progress). Operation permits for conquest, A team captains for last area, beyond that it's fine to do useless attacks or just defend lots.
