It really kicked my ass when I wasn't expecting it in normal.

Yukari's Spiriting Away does feel a little easier than Princess Tenko though...

I only barely got through easy 1cc because I got to stage 5 without losing any lives. I felt pretty pro, so you can fuck off.

A lot of the games remove spell cards for lower difficulties but it's usually between normal and hard. Play some of the games on Hard and you'll find extra cards every level.

Yukari is definitely not easier than Ran. I would doubt that there would even be that many people who even think she just "feels" easier... basically, unless you beat phantasm on your first try after beating extra, it seems unlikely that you'd end up thinking that.
