I poll my keyboard (MS Natural Elite) at 500Hz. In Linux, modify drivers/hid/usbhid/hid-core.c to check for hid->collection->usage == HID_GD_KEYBOARD as well as HID_GD_MOUSE in the mouse polling interval part, so mousepoll applies to keyboard too. I suppose ideally I should introduce a new keyboardpoll parameter, but this is an easy one line hack. Haven't tested any other keyboards, but it works well with this one.
