I have a dilemma, /jp/. I have to go for a photoshoot at our local botanical garden for the Cherry Blossom festival. Kimonos will be provided (This is for magazine photoshoot so I wasn't given much of a choice) and bows will be tied, etc. I have short hair, up to my chin and they want me to wear it up somehow. Now, I'm not sure I can do this but can anyone recommend a hairstyle that will look nice in a kimono for short black hair?

Please halp?

Hair style for kimono is definitely tied up and reveals the neck, but the verdict for short haired girls seems to be that you can wear it down. That picture was the only one that seemed remotely doable with chin length hair, besides the suggestion to use some hair clips.

Barrettes are your friend - just get the bobby-pin/small clip type that either have nothing on them (or something small/cute (heart, flower, etc) for in the front). Use them on the front/side where your hair isn't long enough to pull all the way to the back. Then pull back what you can and tie it off in the back.
