The only maid cafe in Akiba that's worth going to, in my opinion, is Cure Maid. It's essentially just a regular cafe, but one where the waitresses are dressed as maids and tend to be on the extra cute side (a few years ago there was one who was a real dog, but she's been gone for quite a while).

Most of the newer meido kissa popping up are either gimmicky or creepy, and I've usually been disappointed with the food quality.

I went to a Maid cafe in Akiba on Christmas day. My GF and I met up with a couple Japanese friends. The girls were very nice and dressed in very Moe X-Mas outfits. The performance the maids put on was great and one of the girls even sang "God Knows". The food is a bit overpriced and not really that great but you are paying for the personal service and the show.
