There's a problem with almost every eroge: In order to make it sell, they add scenes that cater to the Japanese eroge audience. And for some reason, they like this kind of stuff. No clue why, but then again I have no clue why they allowed a thing like 'toddlercon' to come into existence, either. As a Christian I can only say that Japan has its own category of sins. And as a game player, I can only feel annoyed at the apparent need for unneeded junk that only takes away from a game's qualities.

The ero in Kanon and Inganock was fine, and kept to low levels besides.

The average story-focused pure-love eroge nowadays often has anything from 2-4 scenes per heroine and after the first they really feel far too token. That's what I'd be complaining about- not the fact that the H scenes exist, but the fact that the quantity is unnecessary for eroges where the H scenes are not actually used for the plot.
