How do you move Umineko save files between computers? I copied the whole folder from my desktop to my notebook, because I want to play the game without bothering my college roommate (I've finished my finals but he hasn't), and the game works fine, but the save status wasn't transmitted somehow.

That's a good question. I guess there is a temporary save file somewhere, but I don't know how you'd transfer your saves to another computer. Or even where it's located.

I have heard that they're in the Systems Registry for Windows, though I can't say where exactly.

They're not in the registry, but in a separate folder all together that you wouldn't find unless you turned on your computer to see hidden files. So what type of computer was it?

Windows XP

Alright, turn on your computer to see hidden files through Folder options found by clicking the Menu tab on any folder. Under the View options, turn on you're box to see hidden files.

It should now be able to locate and see the AppData folder in the All Users folder. Umineko4Final is what you're looking for.

Is the computer you're transferring to, XP as well?

Thank you very much, sir...that worked perfectly. I shall save these words for future reference.

Yeah, but Vistas and Windows 7 handle it a tad bit differently. All you need to do is to relocate the Umineko4final folder to the hidden Program Data folder in whatever Local Disk Umineko is installed.
