I was about to agree with you for a second, but the Wikipedia article only mentioned her being called fat/goody-goody. It doesn't say anything about the bullying being an ongoing thing, so I'm pretty much assuming that it's unjustified. Note that the Wikipedia article uses "slandered" instead of "bullied".
