That's what I said, if you're a casual user uTorrent is better for you. Power users and especially people who host their own torrents will want to use Azureus.

How the fuck is this /jp/ related?

Just switch to utorrent because padding files etc

I seem to have downloaded several terabytes just fine with my casual torrent software, so I'm not sure where you're getting this. I used Azureus before I switched to utorrent and didn't use anything that wasn't also in utorrent. Granted, I can't say anything about uploading your own torrents, but I don't see what extra features Azureus could have to magically make your upload faster in exchange for taking more memory than most games I run.

>> No.5095794

Sorry OP, looks like your thread got trolled to death. Maybe you should try later when all the children are a sleep.

i used it for the complete lossless touhou music torrent, and it filled my hard drive with partially constructed folders of the thousands of albums i didnt want. couldnt even use an empty folder wiper since it filled them with garbage

I mean seriously uTorrent is small, does it's job, doesn't bother you. It's as minimalistic as it gets. You want to do download torrents? Use uTorrent. For all the other crap theres other programs.

So anyone here care to explain as to why Azureus/Vuze is better than uTorrent? uTorrent does all the things you need, and that's downloading and uploading torrents.

Industry standard for LOC calculations is to not count lines that only contain e.g. a brace. The 'package' is also optional so it's more like three lines, same as C.

Anyway, last I heard (which was a few years ago) Azureus has some really advanced features for detecting + banning bad seeders which helped to speed up the effective download speed a lot on certain torrents that were specifically being targeted in this fashion. No idea if that still applies and I can't imagine it would affect the sort of stuff we download.
