I want it specifically because it's a shmup, but it's going to be really annoying to play that seriously while having to deal with all of those cutscenes every 10 seconds.

Was it because of the gameplay or the graphics? Because honestly I don't mind mediocre graphics in a shmup, but I can understand why the gameplay could have ticked someone off in Japan. Judging by the footage I can find on YouTube, regular enemies don't fire bullets all that often, they rather just float around waiting to be shot at, and bosses' barrage pattern are pretty predictable and not hard to avoid.

The graphics look fine.

But I think I'd rather play Otomedius instead if I want some horizontal shooting mecha musume.
