So guys, I'm looking for a relatively detailed source on subcultures in Japan. Information online seems mostly sparse. Anybody know of anything?

Is that Crows Zero?

This wasn't really what I was looking for, but individual fandoms hadn't even occurred to me. Thanks a lot.

I guess I should specify though; I really meant something more like "sustained fashion trends," like the Yankii or Kogal.

I'm doing research for a paper btw, and while this probably isn't the best place to scout for information, I figured it was a good start at least.

i would just like to say Kogal is the best that is all.

Sadly, we don't really care for much that isn't 2D, be it japan or not. Actually, we care even less if it's about japan.

I have seen books about these but I can't remember any titles or if they were any good. "LOOK AT THAT WACKY JAPAN!!!" is a fairly well populated genre though so I think you can find something, it just may cost you unless they happen to be in a library.

Just make sure you devote 50% of your paper to the rockabilly greasers because those guys own hard.

I don't have any appropriate Touhou related "the horror" reaction images so you'll have to settle with this

Good enough?

>> No.5041615

I'd think that any book on japanese subcultures written in english would be, as anon put it:
>"LOOK AT THAT WACKY JAPAN!!!"
>>5041447
I don't remember any characters who looked like that. iirc the guy who wore a mask had less hair.

I actually figured my next step would be towards internet articles and the like, so anything like that would be great.

Again, thanks a lot guys. I appreciate your help.
