I really don't get it. It seems more like a generalization created by normal people who don't care to look into who they're actually calling a weeaboo. For one, how does watching anime turn you into a "weeaboo"? That doesn't make sense at all, why can't it just be another form of entertainment like Dexter or Invader Zim (cartoon or not)? Too many use their own poor definitions of the term so the meaning is all over the fucking place, but it all boils down to "U WATCH ANIMAY MANN? WEEABOOOOOO." So fucking what if I watch anime, does that HAVE to mean I give a shit about Japanese culture?
