I still laugh when I see "not for complete newbies". Like it takes any skill to "play" a book with pictures.

It's nothing to do with skill. It's more like, the creator of that image assumed that you would enjoy them more if you had a little bit of background in the medium. (Though I don't really see why that is true for any of them except Umineko, and the fact that they said it for Fate/Stay Night is laughable. Fate/Stay Night is practically everybody's first VN these days.)

I really wish people who made charts like this would distinguish between ones with an English version and ones without. Yes, it doesn't take that much effort to find out, but still it's a bit annoying to look at it not knowing which I'd be able to read.

Well, not that it really matters anymore, since I've lurked about enough to have a good grasp of what most of the noteworthy English VNs are.

Oh, fuck me, it DOES say that some are translated. Didn't notice at first glance, because I didn't bother to read the descriptions.

Thanks everyone.

OP here, just so you know, those "translated" markers are really really old. About twice as many as are marked have been translated by now, so a lot of the ones that don't mention a translation are actually avaliable in English at the present time (and many more of them have projects in the works).

Then the creator of that image is a moron (though looking at his choice in VNs that much was already clear).

Well, back to actually reading some REAL DEAL.

Does Reika Bitch Training have a translation?

>> No.5028700

Considering trying Kono Aozora for my first VN. Should I assume the ol' Google method is the best means of attaining it?

No, unfortunately. There's a Korean translation though. It shows that those Korean translators have a much better taste than the english eroge translators.
