Which is almost the same thing, except faith can come from any living thing.

She's not immortal. She's a reincarnated god and all the reincarnated gods die. But "die" to a living god is just removing your body like a piece of cloth and then becoming a true god.

So while Sakuya, Reimu and Marisa all die and go to the underworld. Sanae dies and levels up to true god.

Also Reimu could beat the shit out of everyone in the underworld and come back. So pretty much only sakuya and Marisa stay dead.
