Somewhat related, but not much, what does anon think of blackout blinds? I want my room darker, but do they do a good job of blocking sunlight, or just tint a bit more than regular blinds?

Poorfag here. I just have normal blinds and either pin up pillows against the openings, or nail bed sheets across them..

But this sounds like a much better idea.

Old furniture has its charm. You feel more familiar around things you grew up with, after all.

I like objects worn out from use, and seldom throw anything I've used for more than a few weeks out, even if it's just a bottle I drank from. Plus you recall things like "Ah, that indentation was from when I put boiling hot water in it" or "Those scratches were from when I dropped it on the street, it sure covered quite a distance. "

Even if it's something trifling, since I'm a shut-in and don't have many good memories with people, I cherish my memories with objects instead.

Wonder when I'll finally snap and imagine my furniture as 2D girls. ;_;

It's much less disgusting than expected. Not much different than a cup if you clean it regularly, and takes much more liquid. Viscous liquids should be avoided for obvious reasons though.
