1. Download the installer from nnl's website.
2. Download mIRC program and install it.
3. Open mIRC
4. From "File" (top left corner) select "Connect" or "Select Server"
5. Select the topmost choice "Connect"
6. Fill out:
-full name
-email adresss
-nickname
-alternative
7. Choose "DCC" from the same list as "Connect" and click "Ignore".
8. From the dropdown list "Method" choose "Disabled"
9. Choose "Servers" (just below "Connect")
10. Select "IRCHighway" from the list and click "Select"
11. It should throw you vack at "connect" (where you input your email nick ect.). Click "connect" (below "New server window" choice)
12. Right click anywhere in the white box.

13. 2 options:
A: 1. Select "Join"
2. Select "join ?"
3. Type #nll , press ok

B: 1. Select "Other"
2. Select "List channels"
3. Pick up #nnl from the list (its almost at the top)

14. type /MSG CS|iwasawa XDCC SEND 1 in the channel which you just joined, press enter.

15. It will show you a warning.
15b. If it says "File type ignored" you didnt do steps 7. and 8. correctly!
16. Press OK
17. Choose "Save as" (the place where the file will be saved, duh)
18. Click accept.

Works like a charm!

Guys, I had the same crashing problem with ef. I was able to solve it by using VirtualBox with a clean format using Windows XP. I'm assuming that a clean format of your computer would work the same. Actually, it runs fine in English locale, so the problem may simply be that I was running in Japanese on my host computer. Who knows. Try VirtualBox or a clean format of your computer, though.
