Has ZUN ever released a higher quality version of the Touhou 6-8 OST? Playing those songs at high volume makes my ears bleed while everything from th10 and up are fine.

If not, any fan remaster?

Tasofro made OSTs for all IaMP, SWR and Hisoutensoku. Unfortunately, except for the PC-98 games, there's no full OSTs from ZUN. Some of his other music CDs include tracks from his games, but it's slim pickings.

So, unfortunately, you'll have to settle for THxxBGM rips, or fan remixes.

6 feels a bit cheesey, but hey so does all of it, just in different ways. 7-8 have the terrorhorns.

As has been said, you can find a few on the music CDs. Necrofantasy/ia hurt much less, UN Owen sounds a lot better, and there's an awesome remix of Locked Girl (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVbNiMEEKnA)), plus a few others.
