/jp/, I'm playing Chaos;Head but the main character is really starting to wear on me. I've turned off his voice acting, but it's still not enough.

Does he grow a set of balls at some point? Is it worth finishing this thing?

Why don't you keep playing it and find out by yourself?

>> No.4956523

I suggest deleting the game and reading something else to help purge it from your memory.
When a protagonist is that much more pathetic than you are it's really grating, isn't it? Maybe the True NEET crowd identifies with him, though, who knows.

No and no.

He doesn't really ever grow balls besides the end, but it's soooooooooo worth finishing it. I loved this novel. My favourite. But if you can't get into the setting and shit, just quit. I got bored about midway, but played for 30 minutes, then shit got real and I couldn't stop till the end. Then I cried loads at the end. Totally worth it.

>I cried
I guess I was right, some people do identify with Takumi because they're pitiful shells of men.

Go away, Jones. Can you not accept that my tastes differ to your own? I did not identify with him (As I have social skills unlike a lot of /jp/), I just appreciated the novel for what it was. Although I did dislike the protagonist, the general mood and story made up for it.

It was going okay up until the point where there's an earthquake and all he can think about is "Where's Rimi? Why isn't she here? Waaaah." Why don't you worry about someone else for once, you selfish fuck.

Also, talking anime figurines that tell you to abandon your sister after she's had her hand hacked off.

I was just mocking you for crying, relax. Don't throw a fit.

I'm hardly throwing a fit.

>"Where's Rimi? Why isn't she here? Waaaah."
That's because Rimi was his waifu. That's why the end was sad.

And his roneryness was annoying at times, but I don't care. He was pretty emotionally detached from Nanami, but there were some pretty sad parts, like that dillusion where Nanami is hanging above a pool of blood and says something about Takumi being a bad brother. That part made me shed a tear.

Takumi was the best part of Chaos;Head in my opinion. The plot was pretty bad.

What was wrong with the plot? I thought it was brilliant. Shitty pacing made the mid-part boring for a small amount of time where NOTHINNNNNNNG was happening, but when Nanami get's her hand cut off shit starts to kick in again. As for Takumi, I don't understand how you could really LIKE him. It was interesting having a hikikomori and socially awkward character instead of the usual charismatic characters that goes around sexing everyone, but that didn't mean I really liked him.
