So I was at an anime con yesterday with my little sister, and she bought a trading figurine (pic related). She was really excited that she didn't know which one was in it, and loves this little chick to death.

I was thinking that I may want to buy a box of them so we can try and collect a set together. First, is there a Japanese name for these trading figurines? And second, is there a specific line you guys would recommend for my sister and I?

nendoroid petits / puchis are indeed very cute. I do suggest collecting them.

There are tons of puchi nendoroids available(pic related). There are also a ton of limited nendoroid puchi's, that can go for $100+, a few extremely limited ones can even go in the $1000 range.

So is there a series that would compete with Nendoroid Petit / Puchi in suitability? And is there a technical name for figurines like these? Just want to check my options. It doesn't matter if we start a new series than the one we've got... Meiko? here from. My sister will love her regardless I'm sure, from the memory. She had a good time at the con yesterday.

Recently I've had the chance to buy two of from a display without the chance to open beforehand

My main goals were Miku or Hachune and Neru or Haku

After trying to figure out which of them might have more weight (due to more hair etc) I hand-picked two boxes:

Haku and Neru.

The mini-sets are usually bundled with a book or video game.
