They're certainly not 100% silk, but they're not 100% cotton either. They feel nothing like my cotton pillowcases, they're much more smooth. I paid ~$30 shipped, each. I want to buy a Youmu if I can find one I like. More than that, I want to find a pillow that fits. My body pillow from Bed Bath and Beyond is a few inches too short.
