Lamia are cute and although they might be the “vanilla” snek, each is a unique and quirky individual who wants to love you.
Echidna are masterful dungeon designers, they have cute snake hair and make amazing moms!
Medusa also have cute hair, and are super underrated. I like her cracked tail and stone cuddles are still cuddles.
Basilisks are very sweet. Paralysis coiling would feel really nice, and I bet she’s super shy and cute underneath that mask of hers.
Bunyips are even more shy, but even fluffier! In these cold months there aren’t many other monsters who would be cozier to cuddle with.
Apophis are real regal monsters. The venom is hot as fuck, and even if she’s a bit of a dork you can count on her to be an excellent wife and ruler.

You don't want to waste the reader's time on a pointless detour, but as long as it makes sense you can use it as an opportunity to flesh out the characters and have some breathing room before the next plot beat.

Hmmm, not really. It's standard G-pen brush, one I use often. Perhaps the strokes were bit bolder than usual? The colour was slapped using paintbrush, just added that extra warm line between the base colour and the shading colour. Sorta like on the balrog here, except the shading was also done with g-pen.
