He is writing in a proper manner. His point is you don't need to be able to deconstruct sentences and name their components in order to have a good grasp of grammar.

I'm ESL and I learned most (all?) English grammar simply by immersing myself in the language. It wasn't until I started a college course on teaching English that I came in contact with words like "adverb" or "participle". I didn't finish the education (although that had nothing to do with my scores) but it was only then that I even needed to know how to explain how English grammar works. So, yeah, it's really only important to English teachers and grammar nerds.

But I've always been able to distinguish between them without being able to give the correct grammatical term for them. However, I am not a native speaker, and "they're" and "their" sound different to me (or, at least, I pronounce them differently).

What really annoys me is when someone uses "could of" instead of "could have". I'm just left to wonder "do you have any idea what you are even saying?" then.

Though it amuses me when someone uses "could care less" and when called out on it, insists that it is the "American" form.

Forza, are you going to offer to sell the book over here (at cons or something), or even put it up for order somewhere? I think a few anons in this thread might buy it. Or rage at you until you post all the originals, dunno.

>> No.4880934

I found a link to buy it. o: I've no idea whether or not it can be shipped to America though. Here it is anyway:

Go to walfas's website and click on the "Buying file folders" link on the right. That's takes you to the page with the e-mail address to contact someone to buy one.

What kind of logic is that? "Stop going to doctors, you are about to die anyway."

>> No.4889728

Huh?

>> No.4889868

It would make more sense as "we don't need doctors, we'll die anyway".
