Seconded. Some friend had expressed his immense clown phobia that day and I thought "Clowns, huh". I happened to watch the one video with the best description, that is "Ronald McDonald Insanity" instead of McRoll, which also directly said which game the music was from. Luckily, this was enough to make me ignore most of the fandom CIRNO'S PERFECT MATH CLASS BAKA XD bullshit and focus straightly to the games themselves.

First thing I saw of Touhou was Marisa Stole the Precious Thing. Had no idea what I was looking at. I thought IOSYS was just some weird kid-oriented Japanese web band or something like that.

Months later I found out it was based on a fairly difficult set of games involving flying Japanese girls shooting at each other. Couple months later, I took out Flandre and became addicted.

I found touhou a couple years ago through a piano arrangement of Remilia's theme. For a long time, all I did was download collections of acoustic instrumental covers. Then I finally gave PCB a shot, and almost instantly fell in love with the bullet hell genre.
