holy shit /jp/. I just played my first visual novel. i just finished the fate route in fate/stay night and it was......incredible. Im about to go through unlimited blade works and maybe heavens feel. But what i wanted to ask you is can you recommend any other VNs that aren't largely based around H-Scenes. I really want something thats meaty on story such as fate/stay night but i dont know what to choose. I really dont want to end up with something polluted with tons of hentai, as i really didnt enjoy even what was in the fate route.

Also the end made me choke up like a motherfucker. Saber :(

As for similar VNs, I'm still searching for a VN that has a similar sort of thing going on to FSN. None of the character design from the other fantasy VNs I've seen appeals to me.

I'd recommend Ever 17 because there was some moments where things just clicked and the characters did badass manly things(end of Sara's route!) that reminded me a bit of the way it was done in FSN.

Tsukihime too, though it's a little dull compared to FSN, especially if you do ALL The routes(which you really should).

High, low, late, no, etc. sexual content with weighted tags isn't that vague. You aren't going to get more concrete answers from /jp/ unless you expect us to calculate the exact percentage of the text that ero scenes make up in a given game.

Also you could just as easily be disappointed by something /jp/ recommends as by something you found yourself. Probably even more so.

OP here. I'll clarify what i would like as to try to not cause a shitstorm. I would like something with a good blend of action/romance with good characters. But honestly i think i can deal with anything with good characters and minimal H-stuff unless it pertains to the story. Im not a critic or anything nor have really developed a taste for this kind of thing yet, so im just looking for a little guidance.

I'm really not trying to waste anyone's time here or be lazy. Rest assured any recommendations made here wont fall on def ears. Once again thanks for anyone thats willing to help guys.

OP, finish FSN before you move on. Most people find either UBW or HF to be the game's best route. Also, if you don't get through HF, you'll never really know just what the hell was going on in the game.

After that, I'd recommend Ever 17. It's very story/character heavy, and has it's fair share of bitch tears, manly-manly, and mindfuck moments. It also has 0 h-scenes. There's not much action, but you'll probably still enjoy it.

other than that, i can just say to look on your own at vndb. saging because /jp/ doesn't want recommendation threads on the front page.
