Is it true that Wriggle will lay her eggs under your skin and then the little wriggles will eat your flesh as they grow into maggots?

Its like this.

She lays them into your brain. The rest you can figure out.

No, but she does bite your head off before mating with your body.

SHUT THE FUCK UP

You're right next to those "LOOK AT THAT BAKA" and "PAD" and "X is a slut" faggots.

This.

You'll forgive me then, I'm rather fond of the idea otherwise. It strikes me as adorable.

Though, female wriggle's not without merit~

Why are there no doujins of male Wriggle capturing some other Touhou and using her to mass-produce insects?

The only cases I know where a male insect carries the eggs is in giant water bugs (pictured, they're a delicacy in Thailand) and golden egg bugs, and even then the larvae certainly do not feed on the male.

Cases where larvae eat the female alive, sometimes from within her, however are all over the place (twisted-wing parasites and gall midges, I think the beetle Micromalthus debilis does it too. Also seen in isopods, mites, symbions, loricifers and probably many other invertebrates. )

Those are often accompanied by a ridiculously complex life cycle involving several forms of larvae, paedogenetic reproduction (where a "larva" is able to give birth) and parthenogenesis. Here's a few examples:

http://www.answers.com/topic/cycliophora-wheel-wearers-biological-family

Symbion pandora has about half a dozen "genders", including one designed entirely to have another symbion rip itself out from within and one that targets "pregnant" females to copulate with their newly released daughters. They also have no excretory system, they simply vomit out all their organs and grow new ones instead, brain and nervous system included.

>Giant Higgins-larvae with paedogenetic reproduction from the deep sea of the Angola Basin – evidence for a new life cycle and for abyssal gigantism in Loricifera?

Don't have the full text to this, but seems like the adults develop within the seventh instar larva, which lives inside the sixth instar, like some sort of organic Matrushka.

That's the telephone pole beet... Oh wait, I just noticed this thing.

http://catalogue-of-organisms.blogspot.com/2007/07/buddenbrockia-gift-that-keeps-on-giving.html

>parasitic jellyfish worm
>reproduces by spores
>larvae are unicellular and can come together to form a multicellular organism like a slime mold

Good heavens.

Oh yeah, another note, since I've gotten the chance to talk about insects.

http://www.wildlifeextra.com/go/news/panama-moth628.html

Other bagworms decorate their protective "bag" with detritus. This one does it with parts of its past prey. Not that it's rare (lacewing larvae and assassin bugs do something similar too) but that's surprisingly cool for a bagworm.

>>4785856
Penis in vag...seminal receptacle. Fun thing with fireflies is that a certain genus is carnivorous and feeds on other firefly males by imitating the mating flashes of a female of other species. Another fun fact is that the male deposits a nutritious spermatophore alongside sperm. The females are greedy and go around eating spermatophores (with a specialized cum digestion gland) even after they have enough sperm to fertilize their eggs. The nutrients almost entirely go to the eggs, though.

Oh whoops, noticed Symbion feeder stages don't have brains per se.

Being anal about that correction probably wasn't necessary, but it was bugging me.
