Hey /jp/! I'm new to the whole VN/Japan stuff scene, is there any chance you guys can recommend me any VNs? I know there are images, but most of those are just clusterfucks and I'm not sure what exactly will appeal to me. So far I've only played 3 VNs:
Katawa Shoujo
Ever17
YMK
The only one I disliked was Katawa Shoujo, I just kinda got bored and stopped playing.

That's not very nice. That's just my opinion, man. I just stopped playing due to boredom. I wasn't really taking to any characters. I would probably enjoy it if I played it some more, I suppose I'll try it again, seeing as you seem to recommend it.

Oh, and I just remembered (hurr) I played Saya no Uta as well, but I didn't really take to it very well. I thought it was good for the hentai scenes and everything, and I really liked the batshit insane parts, but I didn't love the game that much. Was pretty cool though, something new.

Goddamnit. Can anyone help me? I downloaded Cross+Channel, I plan on downloading others as well. So yeah, I got it from the /jp/ FTP, but it has no guide on installation. I managed to install the game fine anyways (all characters are ???? on installation, presumabley Japanese characters) but I suppose that means the game is in moonrunes as well... can anyone help me with this? All I did was install System, then Data.

yes the art is a bit, off, but nothing compared to higurashi's, that's shit. Give it a try, though it's LONG, so maybe you prefer reasing something easier

I don't see any reasons you won't enjoy it. Just be sure not to stop before getting to week 2 regardless of what you think of it during week 1.
