- Hatsuzuki has received a kai ni. She requires 1 action report, 1 blueprint, 2 new model armament materials, 30 dev mats, and some resources. She has 4 slots and can equip radars in the hole punch slot.
- A new piece of equipment the "Fleet Communication Antenna" has been implemented. It raises the possibility that your support fleets show up. It can be obtained by new missions or by trading in 20 teru teru bozus.
- The rainy season, anniversary, and DE quests have ended. 3 new quests have been added.
- The rewards for the teru teru bozus are the Fleet Communication Antenna +1, A blue ribbon, Furniture, or screws.
- 3 new Ukuru class related quests have been implemented.
- May ranking rewards have been distributed. They are the AU-1 +3, Do 217 K-2+Fritz-X +2, THE BIG SEX TORPEDO +2, and the Loire 130M +8
- The next event will have a new ship from Europe who participated in the Atlantic theater and a new Yuugumo class DD
- As of mid October 2023 The terms and conditions for the DMM games platform have changed. After 1 year of inactivity games on the platform will have the right to delete your account information if they wish to. Every Souya comp uses Kaga, no? She's just a fighter mule with a fighter bomber, to take out a DD if you're lucky.
Of course Souya comp has AACI and OASW but that's the point, this comp still has it without giving up a slot for Souya or Kaga being a fighter mule.

AS is very tight, 100% chance at boss requires upgraded seaplane fighters, the best fighters, and one fighter bomber at best in Kaga, and with the best upgrades you can put it in her highest slot.
In the case of this new comp, Kaga Go is used due to being able to fit Saiun and still get fast+ with jets.

The airpower in my comp is just there to prevent enemy artillery spotting, and it all comes from 1 fighter on Shoukaku (which also allows CVCI if you're lucky) and SPFs on the hotels (which have a free slot since you're not using engines).

The old comp didn't have AS because it was using Mogami/Yahagi for otorps. Souya comp was specifically to bring a CV with Yamasushi so they could artillery spot too. But the artillery spotting may not be as important as it seems. I see this new comp having a lot of killing power due to the lack of Souya but maybe a jet crane is better after all. Your numbers shouldn't lie.

Sending LBAS to the boss will help with that. There's also a fair bit of variation with boss comps on 6-4, the 5 enemy comps are much easier.

I saw you don't have Mogami at Kai Ni, do you have Yuubari at Kai Ni Toku? Opening torp and can carry daihatsu, a decent replacement. If not well, use your strongest CA with Type 3 shells. Would be better to bring DDs with tanks and daihatsu, but if you're lacking on those, WG42 works but might need a few tries.

I just played with the AA calculator for a bit, and it seems that as long as she gets at least one shootdown, Hatsuzuki is basically guaranteed to kill at least 56 planes per slot, and will kill literally everything if she gets proportional shootdown (or both).

Time was limited and wait times were long so I mostly just blazed though as fast as I could but you can really see my bias as for where I actually slowed down and took pictures. That's true, but equipment usually comes back in later events or quests, like the F4U-4 this year. There's also the option of upgrading FM-2s into F4U-1Ds, but I still don't think it's worth it. They have better AA than Iwai, but even the best fighter-bomber is still far short of a real fighter due to how proficiency works.
