not very, and no they will not. I've been here for five years. It's pretty easy to adapt and live a life reasonably similar to the one you have at the moment. The only major barrier is the language.

not so much. the big ones are kinda like hitting turbulence on a plane. But they're really infrequent, like one a year. Mostly you won't even notice the minor ones unless you're lying very still in bed. Or you get to the train station and all the trains are delayed because of it.

Avoid the Southern states and Midwestern states if you don't want to deal with lots of rednecks, hardcore bible-thumpers and the gamut of other demographics down there that people generally are referring to, when they talk about fat ugly stupid Americans.

Northern California is the most progressive part of the country, plus we have a Japantown in San Francisco. We got to see Lagann-Hen back in like last November in a theater, suck it.

New York is another great state, however parts of it (such as Buffalo) get unbelievable amounts of snow that will eventually start to piss you off, unless you come from Finland or something.

Only real issue with living in NY or SF is that, living in the decent parts of town is ass-raped-with-a-pineapple expensive. Living in nice parts of SF or NY is almost invariably ass-raped-with-a-mountain expensive.

Japan is one of the best places to live on the whole world, partially because they don't allow sandniggers and other shit from islam countries. But it's really hard to get citizenship.

You probably have a false idea of what Japan is actually like. You should visit a few times and maybe for longer periods each time you do so to get used to life over there. Also if you qualify as a "highly skilled person" you can get a work visa without a sponsor in most countries (I think Japan still requires a sponsor).
