Well, there's also Nepenthes lowii, a pitcher plant that secretes a sweet, milky white substance on its lid, which birds and small mammals love to eat. While doing so, they poop inside the pitcher. The pitcher plant does not catch and digest a lot of live prey, instead feeding off bird poop.

There is nothing stated about that, but ZUN said that youkais are not all the same, some will attack humans because they can't resist it (since they consider it to be a delicacy) and take the risk of getting into trouble and some will act peacefully towards humans so they don't have the risk of being exterminated
