OK /jp/, I wanna get into Touhou. I've tried it two years ago but didn't like it much, however this might have changed.

With what game should I begin?

>> No.4697402

Shoot the Bullet. Ignore everyone else.

>> No.4697413

Perfect Cherry Blossom is what I started with, but Imperishable Night is the best for beginners.

starrt with Embodiment of the scarlet devil, it's a great practice

PCB if you're into the casual experience, EoSD if you want to start at the beginning and are willing to endure difficulty and unpolished graphics.

>> No.4697903

Subterranean Animism.

Everything will be a breeze after that.

That is bullshit. I still found all of them to be hard, even though the first game I 1cced on normal was SA.

PCB or IN.

Embodiment of Scarlet Devil. Ignore everyone else.

I've found all games to be impossible on easy.

>> No.4698021

I started with PCB, but really, any of the "regular" games (EoSD, PCB, IN, MoF, SA, UFO) is fine.

>> No.4698061

I'd say PCB or IN myself. I started with IN, and found other games too hard, but it's the most fun for a begiiner since it's the most polished.

PCB is next up in the difficulty department, but still forgiving enough and it has the "correct" death bomb time so it's a very solid starting point as well.

EoSC is just too random to consistently beat and it lack hitbox highlight in focus mode (read: more difficult) so unless you are patient, I'd say start with IN or PCB.

UFO is also a very good candidate. The whole ufo collecting thingie is entirely optional, but if you can make good use of it, it'd really help your observation ability, which's great in all other games.
