JAST, Shiravune (if they're hiring), Cherry Kiss and Sekai are probably your best bets. Wouldn't recommend exclusively working at Cherry Kiss though because even though the pay is decent you'll be stuck translating Miel nukige for you whole career.

Doukyuusei is just a fun title. Girls are cute and it's just really silly. Kind of like a testimony of the past 90's Japan. This kind of "aesthetic" are really popular too. Also one main strong point for me is the MC is not a boring self-insert. Just like Takuya in YU-NO he is witty, funny and make all the dialogues in Doukyuusei just a fun read.

well, i didnt play the original so i judged it for what it is. gameplay is no fun and time wasting (and the dev realized it too, considered they inserted a vn mode), narrative content is more shallow than what you can find in a modern big budget nukige, but it doesnt work as a nukige either since ero-scenes are too few and usually lack a decent build-up. i wont say it's a complete mess, but by today's standards it falls short on everything. just my opinion, i'm not interested in any sort of schizo crusade.

I agree with you partly. Companies need to stop acting like graphic and sound upgrades (which is debatable anyway) fall under the category of remakes. Should just call them remasters if they're leaving the script untouched. I liked Doukyuusei though personally, it was cute and fun enough, depth doesn't equate to enjoyment and the modern equivalents are saturated with filler and padding anyway, plodding.

You didn't use interactive aventure mode exploring of backgrounds and CGs and didn't met various NPCs and extra scenes during exploring of locations? Then it's understandable - you missed big chunk of content and whole sense of consistency between events.

Yet Doukyuusei remake is basicaly rewritten from the scratch - changing lot of text and adding huge amount of extra content (new events, new CGs, proper full endings etc.). It's not just graphic upgrade like you are trying to claim.

They really don't. I'll admit it's very hard to play them today, since you expect to get a more instantaneous sort of fulfillment from games, but if you can approach them with the right mindset they can be fun. In the past it would have been a given that you'd be at home by yourself with some particular game trying to beat it for possibly months, and you couldn't just go look up the answer to anything that inconvenienced you. The difficulty was also a way of making sure you got your money's worth out of it, in a way.

I can see your point, there are games that we think are great but when we play more of them in a span of time we see examples of it done way better and scenario's that get to the point or do not pad something out or QOL's we wish existed in a game we call a masterpiece. Examples could be saves, a hint corner, scenarios that could be expanded or some that need to be shortened because they go on far too long due to padding.
