What do you come home to every day?
Every time i meat someone new, i'm surprised how different their lifestyle is from mine, or what I think is normal.
I want to know how you're doing, if your home is really fine with you. Are you happy with it?

In an unfortunate series of events my family lost our house years ago. It's been a long time since I've properly had anywhere to call home, since we don't stay in any one place for long. It's not a bad way of life, but I do miss the comfort of feeling like I always had a place to go back to even if everything goes south.

I have friends of my own who cant afford a proper home either, its one of the chief issues I see in society. Its why I made this thread
Nothing is more important to psychological well being than the security of home, and out of the friends I've had that dont have this, I have always seen them fall into some kind of mental illness or depression.
One of my friends committed suicide sometime around christmas, and because of the way I see my other friends living, I'm always afraid there'll be more.

I abandoned the hikineet life, finished college and got a nepo job in a short period of time so I feel like a fish out of water. It's forcing me to work on social skills which is useful but I still hate it, the only style of human interaction I feel comfortable with is when there's a 2D avatar in between me and the other person. For NEETs or hikkis it's basically the worst thing that can happen to you. You can be a complete failure but still derive some sense of comfort in the fact that even if you lose everything, you still have a place to go back to. But what happens when you don't?

I've had to stay in roach infested hellholes without any hot-water for months, that also happen to charge cutthroat prices more expensive than the home we actually owned. It's a slippery slope and in this economy one that's unfortunately almost impossible to crawl out of. Shit sucks, but the best you can do is find small pleasures to make the days a little less dreary.

I can get this, I'm in college but I'm used to living like a neet. I have no money and no will to work for anything but my degree. All I really do have is the money my parents give me every now and then, and its usually for gas. I was cheated out of $2600 by the government (not including taxes) so I feel fully reliant on my parents' home.
