- Kantai Collection is now 11 years old! Lets continue do our best for another 11 years!
- The next event will have a new ship from Europe who participated in the Atlantic theater and a new Yuugumo class DD
- The FuMO25 radar can now be equippied by the Z1s. Additional a +7 FuMO25 can be equipped in the hole punch slot for German CAs and BBs.
- 11 limited time mission has been added, 4 of which are weeklies.
- April ranking rewards have been distributed. They are the Ginga (Egusa Squadron) +2, Swordfish Mk.III (Skilled) +3, Seafire Mk.III Kai +6, the Spitfire Mk.V +6, and the 10cm Twin High-angle Gun Mount + Anti-Aircraft Fire Director +MAX.
- As of mid October 2023 The terms and conditions for the DMM games platform have changed. You don't need either, it's an easy boss, just annoying to get there. Load up on NB equipment and use bongo touch on the way there and you should be fine.

The manga started its run in 2009, so even out of universe they're older by quite a margin.
In universe it's been 17 years since they started raiding, but going by that page they've been active for 44 years. iirc they were first activated in the 40s, which puts them at about 110 years old, in practice.

Kinda sucks going to Japan finally now after getting into anime around 2005. The last few years I haven't really watched much anime or thought much about its culture etc.

I mean, I like to travel and it's a beautiful place, but part of me wishes I came here 10-15 years ago when my favorite anime shows were popular and I was a bit younger. Would have been nice to see all the promos for Kantai Collection right when it came out, or merchandise for other old anime series I like. I see the odd section of KanColle in doujinshi shops and figures but it's definitely on the way out. Picked up some stuff from Suruga-yas bargain bins for 150 yen kancolle related.

I dunno, great trip for a month so far, I just wish I could of been here 15-20 years ago when I was in my 20s as well. I have no idea what the people today watch or are into or am not interested myself. Anyways, it was a fun day. Took lots of pics and had a private English guide for the museum.

You are probably right. There are pop up shops here and there. One is for a series I use to watch called spice and wolf that just got remade. Will hit that on the way out of Tokyo. I've been to the largest animate, lashinbang, surugaya, multiple mandarakes and book stores in now four of the largest cities and multiple smaller ones and yeah, there is very little Kantai stuff other than a small section of doujinshi at some of the stores, some old prize figures on the shelves or bargain bins, one or two newish doujinshi/mags and the occasional shipgirl plastered on a poster in a stairwell or wall. No standups, no promotional sections or pop up stores, no nothing really. I am disappoint. A few other cities left to do but I am not holding my breath or delighted to be reporting this in the least.

I've also recently came back from the trip to Japan. Couldn't reach Kure, but I did visit some of the other places that have been mentioned in the threads. As promised, here is my Kamikaze on Kamikaze memorial.

Also, the ryokan I was staying at has a lot of rooms named after ships: Ariake, Chitose, Takao, Murasame, etc. I was honored to spend the night in Mochizuki.

As for the loot, I've bought 9 Arcade game cards (didn't get to play it though), one Fujinami keychain, mug shaped like drum can, and this Houshou doujin.

Overall, the trip was decently enjoyable. I realized that I don't actually like to travel that much. Probably because I was a bit scared of being in the foreign country, and my Japanese lacked practice. So before the next trip there, I'll make sure to improve my conversation skills. Hopefully KanColle is still doing well in 2-3 years, or at least Yamato museum is.

I'm generally not good in communication even in my mother language, not to mention English or Japanese. That's another skill I have to practice. And I agree, being able to understand what's happening around you (e.g. listening to other people and reading the signs on the buildings) helps with immersion in a culture a lot. I've managed to have a real conversation (longer than two phrases) with a local only twice, but it was a nice experience.

it's any 2 plus a duck. yura and northampton are the only of the named ones I have so this composition is basically the only one possible for me. my only other option is going north. I did the fletcher 5-5 quest by smoking re and retrying until I got the no re single wo boss composition, but I was able to take nagato and mutsu and 3 carriers then. with only one carrier I'm not sure I can even get as while also meeting the los requirement. I could also try 3 carriers, but then I have no touch so sinking the hime might be difficult.

When you're new it helps. When you have 3000 flamethrowers you might as well slack off. The only daily that actually matters long term is the Akashi screw discount. Do whatever maps have drops you want, are good for leveling, or have one time quests. The most repetitive ones are weekly transports, which I do with a bunch of carriers in 2-2 since the opening strike still works during fatigue, and weekly boss kills, which is easily cheesed in 1-5 or 1-1 sparkling.

Some monthly expeditions are very much recommended to do with 3-5 sparkled boats in the fleet to get great success due to:
