Don't know really if this is what you are looking for.

Also, I own partially a set of this Saki mahjong. It is awesome indeed.

Thanks for the link. Looks like there is no riichi mahjong game in English yet.

It's OK, I was working on translating Saikyou No Mahjong 3D anyway. Guess I'll keep working at it.

Thanks again for the information. Have some Washizu mahjong.

Interested?

Seems like eirei posted my translation in the post above.

So, the link is: http://www.mediafire.com/?m32udmfgnng

>> No.4664584 [DELETED]

Oh, and the .txt file inside the archive is in Croatian... disregard that, seems like eirei posted the prerelase version of the translation.

Here's the actual readme file: http://pastebin.com/QmLPBsEa

There is ONLY ONE image left untranslated, and that is the one which says Nagashi Mangan. I could use some help if someone could try getting it, and screenshoting with the masked file which is inside the archive (ryukyoku_testnagashi.bin)!

>> No.4664590

Actually, now I've found the link to the last beta version, which is a bit different than the one Eirei above posted.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=HNL91C1L

Has some corrected images etc. GET THIS ONE!

OP here. Good thing I checked back again.

So there is a translation after all. Good, that saves me from the trouble of translating it myself.

Many thanks.

OP here. Just played a few rounds. It's a very good translation! I especially like the fact that you also prefer the Japanese terms over the English translations. Things like chiitoi, ryanpeikou and the like.

The only thing I dislike is the font you used. It's not a nice font, and sometimes it's hard to read. But all in all, great job.

Are you thinking about translating Saikyou No Mahjong 3D II as well?

>> No.4664783

>>4664771

Oh, I forgot to add. I think the name of that woman is Yamamoto Keino, not Yoshino. And you left something untranslated in the rule settings regarding nagashi mangan, but I don't blame you because I can't translate it either.

>> No.4664808

>>4664783

This depends on the version you downloaded. Download the megaupload link and all settings will be translated.

For the names I used whatever first was suggested on Jm Breen's dictionary. I also got affirmation from a guy living in Japan that it was correct and most often pronunciation of that name.

About the font... oh well, that's subjective, I like that one very much. It's called Calligrapher. But changing all the images to have a different font would be too much of a chore to me. Suit yourself, you know how to edit those BIN files? Just rename them to BMP.

About SNM3D2, I tried the demo and there's a LOT MORE work. Not sure if I'm willing to tackle it. However, a lot of graphics is shared from SNM3D. If you want to do it, go ahead :)

>> No.4664821

Also, I plan to translate the CHM help file which comes along with the game, and widely expanding it with MJ rules and stuff. It should be a one-stop solution for offline MJ.

However I think making a new CHM file is gonna take longer than translating the game took. I'll post on /jp/ when it's done!

Here's the proof of translated settings for Nagashi. Since I didn't encounter Nagashi not once, it was a pain to translate even to the guy who helped me out. I hope it's correct and that it makes sense.

Also, please download the megauploaded version, it has an important Readme file inside.

Dude, not trying to deny the fact that you translated it or anything, but I did download the Megaupload version, and it looks like this. Maybe you need to reupload your translated version.

Not the official Washizu set; from what I hear (I don't own one), the tiles are not all the same size. Which I guess isn't noticable on its own, but when you form walls/hands, it's pretty annoying.
