You can get through the main plot to read it all and clear out most events. If your party is just weak 2hus you can always borrow a meta character for each battle from the buddy system. Might be difficult to clear all the battles on Lunatic though if you only have your 1 rental as a really good character. Regular Nitori is pretty bad, retro Nitori is alright but a bit on the weaker end and her SFES variant is pretty good but higher rarity so it takes a while to unlock her max power. Also a bit of a question when SFES Nitori is getting a banner rerun.

Stages would be most of the 2hu cast coming after Seija, Impossible Spell Card style, with the allies eventually becoming disenfranchised with the plot. SDM gets involved when Yukari siccs the Scarlet Police against Seija and (you), and they manage to abduct Flan and take her home. (Scarlet Police also get cop outfits)

At the end, Seija breaks out and fights Sumireko, but loses due to the overbearing disbelief quickly wearing her down. Then Yukari and Shinmy step in and reveal it was part of the swap box or whatever that play thing was, displaying a simulation of what would happen if Seija broke out. The real Seija would then say she "didn't" learn her lesson and then everyone would have a drinking party and Seija declares she "hates" it here anyway.

Kasen and Shinki are better than Blue Reimu as Sun units but Reimu is Yin attack which might be relevant in some fights. Main thing holding Blue Reimu back from being even better is a lack of unique features. She is just a strong sun nuker who can break stuff and resist some status. Each unit has a luck value (the new purple number on the character page) that goes up with limit breaking. At MLB, you can dump more limit break items or dupes into a character to raise by 5 up to 100. Higher luck value increases your chances of getting bonus stage drops. I believe the units on a team have their luck values added together.

The Luck system makes it so that there's a small chance that any drops you do get are duped by 1. However the actual chances of it happening are small, making it almost entirely useless even when maxed out. Not to mention that they also have the actual drop rate baked into them, making it even harder to farm rare drops because fuck you. And it doesn't affect event point and rare event point drops, so don't dump them into Toyohime.
Each unit can have their luck increased past the natural 25 by feeding them unit dupes, the dolls you use to limit break that unit- as in, you can only use epic dolls on epic units to increase their 'luck'- or the luck mirror item which you can buy from the kappa.
