Hi /jp/, recently I've had the feeling Anime isn't satisfying me that much anymore, and I turned back more into book-reading and on the more light headed side video games.

But I still miss the anime feel alot, so I though I'd should get into visual novels, so I'm looking for some good VN with deep, engaging plot that still fits a newbe.

Also, I'd like to have help on where is it recommended downloading from, thanks in advance.

The Maiden Rape Assault: Violent Semen Inferno

It is a true literary masterpiece and I think it will be exactly what you're looking for.

Delete this thread and lurk a bit.
There's 15 pages on /jp/, amongst them I'm sure you'll find the answer to your question.

I've been burnt out on anime too, the last thing I watched was TM 8.O and I really had to push myself to watch it.

vndb.org and google should throw you on the right path.

You could start with something like Fate/Stay Night, some may argue that you might as well start with tsukihime, but it is a lot older mind you and I don't really know how good it is to start with either way.
People always argue when it comes to Yume Miru Kusuri
Good or Bad? Heroine VS Heroine etc but I would say that it is good, just stay out of Mizuki's route and only read it if you liked the two others.
Thene there is also Saya no Uta and Kikokugai, short fast paced works of good quality, really don't know if I would say that they are good ones to start with though, but they are short.

Fate/Stay Night: Fantasy, Action, Romance
Yume Miru Kusuri: Romance, School Life
Saya no Uta: Lovecraftian stuff
Kikokugai: Sci-Fi, Action

But Mizuki's route is the best one.

Symphonic Rain. (Also, it's non-ero).
