I come to you as an outsider and an uninformed individual, and you may resent me for that but please, hear my request.

I just recently started watching Welcome to the NHK and i want to play an eroge, can you recommend the best one currently out and translated that has a diverse range of pathways and characters tree's, interesting well devloped characters etc, i guess a great dating game with nice ending scenes?

i'm sure i sound like an idiot, but i want to play one. Thanks guys.

This.

And Tsukihime too.

Clannaids.

Most of those don't fit what OP is asking for.

I -would- recommend Clannad, though, if you're looking for a "dating game". It's not the best VN out there and doesn't have any h-scenes, but if you enjoy it then you'll find many more like it to enjoy.

>> No.4591058

for the most range it's indeed clannad
japanj loves it
no h-scenes but still excellent

>Clannad
>not the best VN out there
Except it is!

>> No.4591062

Ever 17 is probably a good place to start. I'd reccomend Cross Channel, but the writing style could throw off some people.

>> No.4591064

For what you're looking for... Yume Miru Kusuri maybe. I liked clannad but it has no ero scenes. Kazoku Keikaku, Crescendo, and Snow Sakura might be worth a look too. (Though note I haven't finished any of the three, so I can't really vouch for them that much.)

>> No.4591069

Planetarian. And if it doesn't meet your requirements, fuck you, because it's awesome.

>> No.4591071

>>4591062
Both are excellent, but neither are really anything like what the OP seems to be asking for.

Muv-Luv Alternative is better than Clannad, Japan agreed don't bother them about it.

What else would you choose then? Interesting, well developed characters pretty much writes out most sex romps and generic ergoe the likes of Shuffle and YMK. Maybe Sharin no Kuni or G-Senjou no Maou. Or Symphonic Rain.

Japan has shit taste, popularity != quality Muv Luv is coincidentally better

>> No.4591120

>>4591108
Well, I think if OP is not a faggot he should still try them. Just, seemed only fair to give warning.

Still, nothing wrong with starting with something a little more generic and mediocre. That way you can really appreciate the good ones when you get to them.

And the western fanbase has better taste?
If you take their recommendation, it would look like the only VNs worth playing are Umineko, FSN and YMK, that's far worse.

>> No.4591139

I always recommend One: To the Radiant Season as the best VN for starters.

>> No.4591175

>>4591139
Fuck no. The choices are fucking terrible and they don't tell you anything. The characters are archetypal and bland but that's to be expected because it's basically prototype of modern VNs.

>> No.4591206

>>4590992
This thread is fucking over already. In these 20 posts, he's been recommended tons of VNs. And for that one faggot actually trying to help OP, Clannad has been recommended enough that OP should try it out.

Seeing as Clannad is pretty damn long, OP won't be back for a few days, especially considering he's a normalfag with school or a job or some nonsense.

>> No.4591259

Thanks guys, i started watching Welcome to the NHK because i empathise with the main character, i hardly ever leave the house so i will have time to play all these, i'm downloading Clannad right now and i've made list of stuff to dl.
Thanks for the help

Wait. You're going to need some help here. Do you know Japanese? Probably not. You need to download Clannad Full Voice. I'll give a couple links.

Follow the instructions here. It has some pretty vital stuff, like a menu translation, actual VN translation, and links to download it. I've already downloaded it, it's kind of complicated, you might need help. The thread's guide isn't very helpful.

Eh, it's not like we really get THAT many requests like this here, that we need to treat them like shit to discourage them. Or, were you given similar treatment once before, so now you feel the need to do the same to other people?

Personally, I have no problem helping someone out, as long as they and people like them don't become an annoyance.

Cool motivator post moar ^_^ Download sukihime (it's a greates vn ever!!)
heres summary:
A 12-episode TV anime series adaptation titled Shingetsutan Tsukihime (真月譚 月姫?) is directed by Katsushi Sakurabi and produced by J.C. Staff. The series is written by Hiroko Tokita and features original music by Toshiyuki Ōmori. The series first aired between October 9 to December 25, 2003 on BS-i, TBS and Animax, who also subsequently broadcast it worldwide, including its English language networks in Southeast Asia and South Asia, under the title Lunar Legend Tsukihime. Two soundtrack compilations were released, titled Moonlit Archives and Moonlit Memoirs. Two pieces of theme music are used for the episodes; one opening theme and one ending theme. The opening theme is "The Sacred Moon" by Toshiyuki Omori, and the ending theme is "Rinne no Hate ni" (輪廻の果てに?) by Fumiko Orikasa.

The title Tsukihime, Lunar Legend was only used in Geneon's North American DVD releases. Upon Geneon's American operations having shut down, the newly instituted licensor Sentai Filmworks acquired the North American rights to the series, with Section23 Films handling its distribution and marketing, along with other titles.[3]

Enjoy and don't listen to those elitist, they are newfags of /jp/! Tell your friends about this place!
