I wish I could travel 20 years back in time and enjoy Touhou during its golden age like everyone else.
If there's anything worse than nostalgia, it's feeling nostalgic for something you never experienced.

I don't want Touhou to end so soon right after I found it!

Saying "I wish I was involved in Touhou back in the day" is reductive. The fact is those doujin scans and videos they had you have too, and more. Instead of lamenting on things that can't be changed, ask yourself what you're doing now to keep Touhou alive? Are you making fanart? Are you making music? Are you hosting in-person Touhou events? Are you writing Touhou stories? At the very minimum, are you supporting the people who do create the Touhou things you like? Touhou is having a boost in popularity, you need to be out there on the ground actively making the best possible world so that Touhou can last for years and years.

Ask not what Touhou can do for you. Ask what you can do for Touhou.

You should really be careful for what you wish for.
Just realize you didn't waste two decades of your life being obsessed with Touhou. Realistically if I had discovered Touhou earlier it would've probably ruined my childhood because of the unending obsession and inability to focus on anything else. Now I am at a better position in my life to tolerate being obsessed with Touhou, even then I can't go 1 hour without having a Touhou-related thought. Sometimes I wish I could go back in time to prevent myself from ever falling into this rabbit hole.

But hey! It's not too bad, Touhou is still here, enjoy it while you still have it.
