they work a lot so gachas can work as games for people that don't have much time, for example honkai star rail is a great side game, in general events are easy and you can play 30 mins a day. For long endgames grind, they're permanent along with the rewards, and even temporary endgame modes like memory of chaos got extended from 2 weeks to 4 weeks, and you got a button to skip floor 1 to 7, also energy cap got increased from 18h to fill to 24h to fill. They've done everything in their power to make the game experience more smooth, oh and there's also auto combat
