My problem with /jp/ is that to find discussion about the actual Touhou games, you have to sift through the other 95% of the threads filled with people so fixated on the associated setting that for them, the games might as well not exist.

And you can't discuss the games on /v/, because "TOUHOU GOES IN /JP/".

I think you mean "people are so fixated on the porn and memes".

There's actually not too much "serious" discussion about the setting or anything about the characters, really. CoLA is rarely mentioned, Grimoire of Marisa is nearly non-existent, only a few people actually want to talk about the Sunny Milk and crew, PMiSS is occasionally brought up in the already rare "serious character discussion", CLiR only focuses on a small group, and SSiB is a guaranteed shitstorm.

It's a pity, because I think ZUN likes to both emphasize his games and the ideas of his setting, but porn and memes have an overwhelming large response in comparison to anything official from ZUN.
