yeah it's pretty good - i learned it on piano awhile back, my technique is crap though so nailing it at tempo did a number on my fingers

it isn't my favourite though, even for IN - keine's stage theme and lunatic princess are way more memorable i think. but as a character theme it suits her

2.) Yes, in fact, it's how I got into Touhou in the first place. Prior to being a Touhou fan I was (and still am) a big Mega Man fan, and in the comments section of a music video for Zero Stage 2 from Mega Man X5 I saw a bunch of people talking about "rabbits on the moon".

Hi, what you mean is "retro". The number of bits actually has fairly little to do with the quality of the music, that is more to do with soundchip constraints and sample rate, tied to the overall clockspeed on the motherboard. This is more like what a typical 16-bit system would be capable of reproducing, given the multiple tracks and distinct instruments, not limited to basic waveforms.

Visually, I think her design is one of the most understated but in no way underthought, I just find it very cool. I also love that she is pretty much a joke character - every appearance she has where you fight her is pretty much just her being in the wrong place in the wrong time, her being so excited that the spring has come she throws all caution to the wind and just goes all out, bless her. In the series full of lofty goals and really jumbled overdesigned plans, I like how Lily White comes once there's spring to announce, does her job with all she has, refuses to elaborate further and fucks off somewhere that not even other fairies know. Truly the Ryan Gosling-type character of 2hu.

1. It's hard to place one ahead of the other. Ran edges it out as first if there has to be one, but Chen is cute too.
2. Ran's theme is a weird case since it could go either way between Charming Domination and Maiden's Illusory Funeral (MILF) since the Phantasm stage's BGM is a remix of both of those and Necrophantasia, the remix of MILF, is peak Yukari alongside Evening Star from later games. I like both nonetheless. Chen's theme Diao ye zong is nice, but a bit short.

Stack did a good job with Spinnin Fox which combines Charming Domination and Diao ye zong together. Midnight Lightning Bolt from IOSYS wasn't too bad either.
