I don't think there is any way to cope. At best, you could wait for technology to evolve to the point where AI Patchouli becomes a sentient, 100% in-character being.

i don't think i could enjoy an ai patchy even if it was 100% sentient and in character. that would be weird and is really hard to cuddle with.
