I've seen no such thing. 17.5 is widely regarded as one of the weakest entries in the entire series because of the whole 2 moves per character thing, and the reason why you or I don't ever think about it is that its influence began and ended at its release, even despite the fact it has babbys first 2hu in it. Nobody would ever really pop it in just to play it like you could with pretty much any other game.

19 also has a warning attached to 100% of recommendations from anyone that "the netcode is fucking trash, garbage fire, ZUN should be ashamed he had to be convinced by Mario and even he honestly shouldn't have even tried" even outside of this board where people aren't nearly that brutal.
