Why can't /jp/ come together and create some original content or good quality doujin shit? 2ch does it ALL the time. The Chinese do it too. Plus they translate shit into chink fast and consistent. Why can't we do that?

You can decorate the term fanon with pretty words such as: "fanon is a contribution to the franchise" but in the end it's still just fanfiction. In fact, every non-ZUN contribution to Touhou is by definition: fanfiction.

Just don't call it fanfiction and people wont have any problems with it.

Making a php forum and attaching names and avatars to something like this makes 90% of /jp/ hate the project, and even alternative boards with Anonymous posting still only serve to separate creators into small, nonproductive groups and split up what should be a group effort between all /jp/ers.

Japanese have discipline. Americans are mostly lazy. Half of the younger ones of us are drooling "ADD" retards who can't even write out a long post in threads on 4chan. Other 'western' fans who are not American probably live in some shit country like Mexico or somewhere in Eastern Europe and they have to sew baskets 14 hours a day to survive so when they get home they're too tired to produce any original content. Got pointed to this thread from the /jp/ project forum...I must say, it's interesting people are willing to have another go. I hope /jp/ manages to produce something again.

>>4507139
It's not dead, but it's very inactive. Dandygirl staff finished their project, and most of them aren't willing to work on a new project, but they're still hanging around there. En Bloc has hardly any activity, but it's not dead (the other two staff members don't seem to want to drop the project (not 100% sure though), and I WILL keep working on it until it's completed...I've been trying to compose BGM lately, but shit's difficult. Add to that that we're all lazy, and you get almost no progress). The other projects seem to be dead.

>>4507157
It's most likely a joke, as a response to the jokes that they should make a Dandygirl doujin.

>>4509496
No. No, it's not.
It's written by THE LION HAX, and art and music is by anons (and some music was taken from the internet).
The art and writing style isn't anything like mugenjohncel's.

Good luck, /jp/. Dandygirl devs could do it, surely /jp/ can do it again!

Do you guys remember those original content threads and draw threads we had in the past? They weren't that long ago. /jp/ actually has some people who can draw or at least are willing to learn. But the thing with a project is that our userbase is just too small, and the idea must at least appeal to people for them to contribute some of their time and also gain experience in the process.

I wish there was someway to inspire people to do something, even if they might not have the proper skills initially. Not just limited to drawing either, but music and other items as well.

/jp/ers run on faith. Thanks to the previous /jp/ projects that failed we have low faith. The only reason why we've recently started talking about the /jp/ project is because the Dandelion Girl VN came out.

You can inspire /jp/ers simply by creating something. If one of us succeeds it'll set the pace for our future projects.

I've always wanted to do a collab work with other /jp/ drawfags on a doujin anthology project, such as that Aki Sisters one. Any other drawfags want to try this out?
