I'm tired of being a NEET. For the past 3 years, all I've done was sleep and go on the computer.

It's boring now. I wanna do something else, like get a job or go to school.

And even though I say this, I'll wake up and do the same thing I always do tomorrow. And the day after that, and so on.

I'm trapped. Please help.

Then go to school or get a job. That was easy.

Find a motivation for why you want to do something else.

Just wanting to go to school or get a job usually isn't good enough. You have to look past that and see what you want out of life.

Too many NEET threads today.

However, the religion thread makes up for it.

Ah, that's what I did, though I was never a neet since I always either was going to school or had a job. Though they both sucked too.

I've had horrible depression and anxiety problems for years, which is one of the main reasons I haven't done anything with my life. I've tried 6-7 different drugs and 3 therapists/psychologists, none have been able to help me. I'll be getting Social Security soon, so at least I'll be leeching off someone else besides her.

I work contracts. So I'm employed half a year, laid off for half a year. It's pretty sweet.

I think you guys should look for seasonal jobs with state or county or even local workcrews, like road-crew type stuff. It's just manual labor and you don't need a degree or anything.

I seriously don't understand why you guys can't get a job at McDonalds, or at a restaurant washing dishes. You dont really have to interact with people, but the little bit you do will help you start to be able to put up with social interaction.

I really hate talking to people, but I realized that my extreme love of money is only satiated by the jobs I get which pay me more money because I actually talk to people.

Jobs requiring social interaction are great as you can act like the biggest nice person alive, and get other jobs from the people you are incredibly nice to.

Just be incredibly nice to EVERYONE (even if you are faking it) and you'll soon be liked by people just for being a nice guy. Nice guys may not get the girls, but they do get job opportunities.

Getting over your hate for people is easy once you realize the advantages like I did.
