For those of you guys that have made custom Fumos, what tips would you give to someone trying their hand at one for the first time? Pic related is what I've got so far. I'm using a bootleg Aya as a base and I've gotten away with modifying existing clothes that work for the design, but now I'm at the part where I have to actually make stuff myself. The most experience I have with sewing is the small mends and stuff I used to do to clothes and the occasional button reattachment from when I was a kid, but that was years ago. I don't own a sewing machine, and I'd rather not have to invest the money for one at the moment. Do they sell cuttable cloth is stores? If they do, I think I should be able to just draw up pieces to make the clothes, cut them up, and hand sew them together. I'd like to think I'm crafty enough to be able to at least do that much...

Is this just an image filter or an actual analogue photograph scan?
Props to you for having the balls to buy film in this day and age if it is, but to give my two cents the filmspeed is too high, and using slower film with an appropriately adjusted exposure would probably work a little better, especially for still shots like this it's entirely possible to go upwards of a second if no one walks into frame. I'm assuming the DoF effect is intentional, but the result is a little bit too grainy.
Keep it up though, that's just a little nitpick on my behalf.

Just from the picture, she does look like a V1. The fabric used for her hair is just like what earlier V1s (like your alice) have, and the proportions are also closer to the V1 style. The most important test is checking whether she's as soft as alice.
I think shanghai's fumo was created when early V1s were around, so it makes sense she'd have the same qualities.

Top loaders don't do anything to protect from UV nor do most grade slabs. Most of the products are made with PVC which doesn't have any resistant properties. They would have to have an added film coating with the property in order to have it.
Color is considered in most card grading and discoloration by print, age, sun, etc. counts against you.
Pro tip: you can just buy these slab style cases. IMO grading is a waste of money. It basically inflates the price of cards for no particularly good reason and a lot of garbage cards normally worth pennies with a similar condition are "increased" in listing value in order to prey on secondaries who don't know better. A fool and his money are easily parted.
Using the english Squirtle card here as an example. How much do you think it's worth? Note: this is not a dig at anybody and it's just a statement of facts.
The best/min price you can get for PSA is $25 per card (or $15 if you're a special member). That card alone, based on current TCGplayer listings for a near mint 1st edition, is worth $2.00. A grade 9 slab of it goes for about $15 to 20. Do you see a problem here?
If you just want a hard case around your cards to make them look nice you can save yourself some money by doing it yourself. As a bonus these have UV protection and come in various thicknesses.

How's has the integration of the "asian-english" cards into the format felt in practice?
Has it been mostly positive or does it feel weird sometimes? Assuming the opponent doesn't understand the language and needs to know the writing for PSCT.
IE when someone brings out spanish cards in an english TCG event we kind of have to scramble to pull up the translation(s) and with the current time rules it almost feels malicious because it wastes like 2 minutes each time we need to translate.

I would definitely do your homework on how it plays because it has some unassuming complexity, there's a lot of sequencing errors that you can make. But the deck is a lot of fun and I highly recommend learning it.
I opened way more of this set (in the TCG) than anyone should ever but I don't regret it since all of the decks are a lot of fun and how expensive each is. I did open 4 collector rares though, that was cool.
