Hi guys, I have something you might like to help with.

I'd like to design a customized Touhou playing card deck with /jp/'s help and suggestions. I can fully customize the face of each card, so that's 52 cards + 2 jokers and a back design (picture related).

If you would be so grateful, please post pictures you'd think would look good as a playing card (orientation/resolution-wise). If you'd like, you can suggest a suit/number for your picture.

I made one earlier but I think it'd end up much better with your help and suggestions.

Of course I'll take pictures and let you guys know how they come out when I get them printed.

I'm too lazy to actually bother posting pictures, but if I give you some advice, you should really limit the amount of characters on a card to 1. Also, I see you've picked out some of the prettier touhou fanart out there, which doesn't exactly work too well for card covers. You should try keep the images on a plain background, which also helps to give focus on the character and card type.

Of course, all the advice only really applies if you actually plan on using those cards in a real life scenario, which you probably won't. Good luck seeing this thing til the end.

Thanks for the advice. They're more just for the artwork, I wouldn't really want to ask anyone if they wanted to play poker with my little girl deck.

It's only going to cost about $4 total with shipping since I have a coupon saved with a printing company.

I thought about using the Reitaisai artwork which features a lot of characters on blank backgrounds though (picture related).

as for pictures try and find pictures that are single characters against solid (or a single type background. one of your choice) background. if you can't find a single character on a blank background you should Crop the picture of your choice. and be sure to keep them from having that irritating crop-boarder. if you want you can have different backgrounds of your choice but be sure to make a solid boarder colour so people can't cheat. that's all the advice I can give. good luck with this and be sure to email me when you start producing these things so that I can buy them.
